BISU IN THE 1970s AND 1980s

It gain the publicity that it deserved as a young and vibrant organization

The leadership was alert about local and National issues and always publicly made it known to the general public on the position of BISU.

‘We feeling’ existed among the rank and file of the student body.

Local branch leaders were alive to their responsibilities so the general student body of BISU responded as such.

There was mutual respect between students and traditional rulers It was visible that the area was set for total transformation

                                                             BISU IN THE 1990s

It witnessed more glory in the 1990s because of the way the students leadership projected the name of BISU in conduct, character and attitude.

The student leadership saw themselves as generation carriers.

 Female education was encouraged strongly.

‘We feeling’ was still felt among the rank and file of the student body.

There was never rumor of the leadership trying to promote the dominance of any political group in the area.
