30th December 2014 BISU 39TH ANNUAL CONGRESS.

BISU National holds annually congresses at the accepted towns that Bimobas have settled and can cater for students during their annual congresses. The 39th BISU annual congress took place at najong 2 in the Bunkpurugu-Yunyoo District of the northern region. The congress began on the 28th day of December 2014 and was to last for three days. During every annual congress, there is always an outlined programmes to be carried out for the three days and same way was the 39th congress at najong 2. The 28th day of December was the arrival day and entertainment of members and this comprises performance from bimoba local musicians, comedy and many others. The second day, 29th December, 2014, began with a morning health walk to najong 1 and to the chief palace of najong 2. After the health walk, talk topics on health, jobs procurement, admission’s attaining to tertiary institutions and other concern areas. The final day was on the 30th December 2014, which brought many people from all walks of life’s. Both Northern and upper east regional ministers( Hon. James Z. Tiigah), Running mate of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawuya, lectures from the University for Development Studies(UDS), Educationalist, politicians, religious leaders, The paramount Chief of the Bimobaland  (Alhaji Abuba Nasinmong ), the chief of Nakpanduri, Kpekpala, Gbankuni, najong 2 and others were all available to grace the occasion.




BISU MEMBERS PAYING VISIT  TO NAJONG 2 CHIEF PALACE.

Members of BISU paying visit at the najong 2 chief palace on 29th December 2014 during the 39th BISU national annual congress at najong 2. As a routine task usually carried out by BISU at every annual congress by first matching to the chief palace of the particular town that the congress is hosted.  And this was one of such activity that was undertaken at najong 2.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

    1. To foster unity and peaceful co-existence among Bimoba students at all levels of learning

To team up with traditional rulers in resolving disputes peacefully in the area To foster friendly relationship between students and traditional rulers in enhancing cultural, educational, social and economic development of the Bimoba traditional area To seek the general welfare of Bimoba students as the case may be. To act as the official voice of all Bimobas and the students in particular in driving home to the government and other private organizations on any matter related to development in the area or as the case may be. Perform any other function that members at a general meeting may deem necessary and sufficient to do so in the interest of the Union.
